My name is Mike Williams, I am 35 years old and
I reside in Fort Wayne, Indiana,USA, My first computer was an old IBM XT
portable with a 6 inch built in monitor, I ran Battle of Britain on the
old thing and was hooked on flightsims, that was about 1990, since then
I have been flying every military sim to come down the pike, I would have
to say that EF2000 is the most memorable to me, as it was so much above
everything else out at the time, and very immersive, since then I find
myself consantly looking for more immersion in sims, I thought the most
capable way of getting close to the elusive factor we all chase, I thought
a home simulator would get me there, so , here I am :). Currently I am
building a military fighter cockpit based on a broad range of aircraft,
I also enjoy MS Flightsim also, for the big heavy "feel". In my free time
I enjoy a wide spectrum of hobbies, simming being one of the most enjoyable
(and time consuming). I can't wait to see where we will be 10 years from
now in our hobby!
I am married and have 4 rugrats, I am an 11 year veteran
of the United States Marine Corps, (0311 infantry rifleman). Currently
and for the last 10 years I drive an 18 wheeeler for a major Midwest sodapop
company (7up). I enjoy the simpits community, a great group of folks sharing
a common passion, I hope to see the group grow to thousands,so we may influence
the simulation industry and have a say in what we would like to see implemented.
