I attended school in my hometown called Jennersdorf, 'till
I was 18, then I went to Graz, the capital of Styria, to begin some studies
of electrotechnic, but after the first year, I decided to change to Physical
Education and Mathematics.
Actually I'm working as Application Developer for an Austrian Internet
Company.
In my spare time I like doing sports, especially Volleyball in Austria's
first league, and of course fly some sims, do some 3d animation and design
my homepage...
personal hobbies:
Volleyball, Basketball, Swimming, Skiing, Snowboarding, Running, STAR
WARS !!!!!!!!!!! (I think, I'm one of the biggest fans ever *g*), all kinds
of Music (I play Piano, Guitar, a little Drums and my home stereo *g*).
Computer related bio:
I have been involved in computers since I was 13, in summer 1987. I
started with a Commodore C64, without(!) Datasette or Floppy Drive, so
I had to write my own small progs and games, and after switching off the
computer, it was gone :( - I can't tell you, how pleased I was, when my
father bought me a floppy drive *g*. After some time I decided to upgrade
my system to an AMIGA 500, that was, when my flighsim addiction began -
of course with the original FALCON ! Since this time, the F-16 "Viper"
Falcon is my alltime favourite aircraft. Some years of gambling past, and
I began to see the other sides of using a computer - 3D animation and video
(Lightwave 3D). I upgraded to an AMIGA 4000, but software support started
to become very bad, so I decided to make the "hop to the other side" and
changed my system to an IBM compatible 486 DX4/100, where Flightsimulator
5 was one of my favourites (besides NBA and NHL Live, of course *g*).
Now I own a two-computer-system for work and fun:
System 1 (work/Cockpit Instrument Client):
ASUS P3V-4X, Celeron 466, 512 MB RAM, 25 GB Harddisk, Elsa Erazor III
TNT2 Pro GraCa, 3Com 905B NIC, Creative 12xDVD, CD-Burner.
System 2 (gambling machine/Cockpit main computer):
MSI board, Pentium III 1GHz, 384MB RAM, 40 GB HD, ASUS V7100/DIV GForce2MX,
3Com 905B NIC, Creative 12xDVD, Thrustmaster ACM Gamecard.
Of course Falcon 4 is my favourite, but there are also games like Indiana
Jones 5, NBA live 99 and of course all flightsims like FS98, FLightUnlimited
2, Janes WWII fighter or F-15.
In 1998 I found some interesting websites about homebuild cockpits (e.g
Steve's MafSIX, BYOHC, etc.) and I was infected *g*. I had to have such
a thing. If I have to be honest, I never really thougt, I will start with
my project anyday - but I did !! ;) Now it's getting shape, although I
had to cancel further developent caused by university "primaries".
more infos about my project "go on" can be found at my homepage, "history"
and "construction" page - it would take a lot of room here... ;)
