My Name is Francisco (Kiko) Picornell, I am "older".
Born and raised in the Philippines until comming to the US in 1979 where
I went to school and graduated with a BS (thats Bachelor of Science) in
Air Commerce and Flight Technology. I also earned my Commercial Pilot Certificate
with single/multi-enigne and instrument ratings. Flew Beech King Air's
breifily for a corporate outfit until returning as a Professor in an Aeronautical
University teaching among other; Advanced Aircraft Engines & Systems,
Advanced Aircraft Performance, Operations and Procedures. I also taught
cockpit procedures in the Boeing 727 for almost five years. During this
time I got an MS in Systems Management and an MBA.
I presently work for a major aerospace corporation in
the Information System Strategy area.
My interests in home based simulators started in 1998
when I decided I was working way too much and needed a hobby. I presently
have three projects going, VIPER 1 which is my F-16 "Like" pit which is
90% completed; EAGLE 1 which is my F-15 "Like" pit which is 40% completed
(behind Viper 1). Finally, my HQ projects to house the whole thing.
