Place Of Residence: Great Falls, Montana I have been building plastic models for over 30 years and during that time I gathered quite a national reputation as an award winning modeler. In 1984 I was employed by the U.S. Air Force as a civilian contractor to produce a set of 8 design models that were used by the Air Force construction crews who were building the stage sets used during the 1985 SuperBowl Halftime show put on by the USAF. In early 1991 I was commissioned by the Air Force to produce a set of six F-16 Thunderbirds models which went on tour with the 1991, 92, & 93 Thunderbirds airshows. I have built numerous models for museums around the United
States.
I have always been interested in aviation. Having grown up near Seattle I was always watching the skies for airplanes. I watched the first maiden flight of the Boeing 747 from my front yard. I was amazed at how such a large airplane could stay in the air. In 1980 I got a job at the Great Falls International Airport working as a flightline refueler. We were instructed in how to start up APUs (auxiliary power units) in Boeing 727s, & 737s, and McDonald/Douglas DC9s to get power to the aircraft for early morning refueling before the flight engineers had arrived at the airport. I saw a lot of cockpits up close and personal. Also during this time my Brother-in-law worked for the Montana Air National Guard based at the same airport that I worked at. He was an F-106 Simulator Instructor! Needless to say I was in that simulator every chance I could get. It was then that I knew I had to have a simulator of my own. But it always got pushed to the back burner because I just didn't know where to start. But with the advent of SimPits I have revived my lust for a simulator again. Although my main interest now is in military sims, including Falcon 4 and Jane's USAF, F15, & F18, I have also been using Microsoft Flightsims for flying with virtual airlines via the Internet and computer since 1996. I was one of the first pilots for Montana Express Airlines. My current occupation is Chief Maintenance Supervisor
